Route 28 Crash Leaves 1 Dead

O’HARA TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A Saturday night fatal accident in O’Hara Township is being investigated as a possible DUI.

According to police, the crash happened on the northbound side of Route 28 around 11:16 p.m.

The victim has been identified as Rikki Flemming, 18, of Etna.

Flemming was traveling in the left lane, when another vehicle failed to slow down and crashed into the rear end of her car.

As a result of the impact, Flemming’s vehicle left the road and began to roll on an embankment in the median.

Flemming was wearing a seatbelt, but was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the driver of the other vehicle showed signs of intoxication. However, charges are pending lab results.
