Tom Green at the Pittsburgh Improv All Weekend

Tom Green in Pittsburgh April 2011

I just heard Tom Green on DVE during my morning drive to work today.

I grew up watching a young Tom Green on MTV, as he pulled various pranks on his parents and others – basically laying the groundwork for other popular MTV shows such as Jackass and Ashton Kutcher’s Punk’d.

He’s come a long way since those early days of spray painting naked women on his Dad’s car, as he now hosts an online talk show, he’s beat cancer, and he’s traveled the world the last several years doing standup.

I first saw Tom at the Pittsburgh Improv in Feb of 2010.  I didn’t really know what to expect at the time.  The show was actually quite funny.  He talked a lot about his past work on MTV, his battle with cancer, and some of his older movies.  He also touched on some topics that were current in the news at the time.

I saw him again when he came to Pittsburgh last year in April and that show was even funnier, as he seemed to really hone his skills as a standup comic.  His show focused a lot on social media, current news events, and he interacted quite a bit with the crowd.

If you are a fan of Tom or just a fan of stand up comedy, and you are looking for a fun night out this weekend, check out Tom at the Improv in the Waterfront.  As of this writing, tickets are still available for the 10PM show tonight, as well as the 7PM & 9PM Saturday shows and the 7PM Sunday show.

I think Tom is hilarious. In fact I think I was one of the few hundreds that saw his painfully bad but funny movie “Freddy Got Fingered”. I would love to see him on stage and will have see if my wife will let me drive down from Toledo to check him out Sunday.

His TV show was hilarious and I think his funniest acting bit was in “Old School” when the snake grabs his hand I just died laughing. I heard him on SIRIUS a while back and he is a really just a nice guy. I would go to that show.

I would definitely go check him out if you haven’t seen him do standup. I agree with Matt, “Freddie Got Fingered” has some parts that are hysterical…

Tom Green has always been my favorite. I liked his pranks when I was young and later on grew to admire his standup shows.

Last year I missed Tom’s show due to some prior commitments but my friends watched the show and raved about him.
